Side effects are not common with Finasteride, and in any case, after dosage is completed, the side effects die away. In some rarer cases however, the side effects can be noticeable. As with all drugs, proper usage and care should reduce the effect of any side effects that are experienced.

As with all medicines, from aspirin to major medical treatment programmes, there is always the possibility of suffering from side effects. However, most people tolerate the drug quite well with the minimum of noticeable effects. And when they do occur, they are relatively minor, and can be easily managed by yourself or with some low-level medical care from your doctor.

Less than 1% of users do report a degree of erectile dysfunction as a possible side effect. Erectile dysfunction is a lack of function of the penis. This means that when sexual activity tales place, the male may not be able to achieve or maintain an erection.

Even less common than erectile dysfunction is the condition called Gynecomastia. This is when a male develops abnormally large mammary glands. Obviously this is uncomfortable psychologically, and can be very unsightly. This is very rare as a side effect from use of the drug; however, it has a direct link to the hormone levels in human beings, so it is easy to see why it may occur after using Finasteride.

Finasteride is not recommended for use by women. One reason for this is because it is known by the FDA and other regulatory bodies to cause birth defects. It is so hazardous that any woman who is pregnant must not handle or be in any contact with even broken Finasteride tablets. The medication is so potentially potent it can actually be absorbed through the skin. This is why it is such a hazardous substance for pregnant women. Even exposure to whole tablets is not recommended, although it has not been proven to have an effect unless the tablet is swallowed. Finasteride is known to pass into the semen of men. However, it is not known for the Finasteride to cause concern if the semen of a man who is taking Finasteride would come into contact with a woman.

Other side effects of the drug have meant that it has had a link with depression. Studies did find that the drug may induce symptoms linked to depression. This means that the drug should be prescribed with caution when a patient who has high risk for depression is involved. Patients who are highly susceptible to the disease have been reported to suffer from a drug induced episode of depression. Again, this only suggests that physicians should exercise caution with clients who are high risk for depression.

Due to the nature of the makeup of Finasteride, many major sports associations have banned its use. This is because the drug helps to mask the presence of steroids. As has been widely documented in the past, some athletes have used steroids to enhance their performance. Since 2005, and unsurprisingly perhaps, Finasteride has been on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s banned substance list. Many prominent athletes have been linked to its use in the past. Perhaps most famously, the international football star Romario has been linked to the abuse of the drug. The famous ice hockey goalkeeper Jose Theodore was also involved in controversy with the drug. Unfortunately, Theodore was using the drug as part of a famous hair tonic. He was allegedly unaware of the effects of Finasteride as a masker of steroids, and thus paid the price of facing sanction.

Further side effects that have been reported include a small decrease in sex drive. The libido has been reduced in a very small percentage of the takers of the drug. Less than 2 per cent of users, in fact, have reported this problem.

Just over one per cent have reported a decrease in ejaculate amount. Again, this is a very small amount of people, and puts the question of side effects into perspective.

As the dosage becomes larger the possibility of receiving any of the side effects mentioned in this article does increase.

You can tell the condition of a nation by looking at the status of its women.

– Jawaharlal Nehru

Empowerment of any section of a society is a myth until they are conferred equality before law. The foundation of freedom, justice and fraternity is based on the recognition of the inherent dignity and of equal and inalienable rights to all the members of the society. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted and proclaimed by the General Assembly of the United Nations on 10th December 1948, envisaged in Article 2 that “every one is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this declaration without distinction of any kind.”

It has traditionally been accepted that the thread of family weaves the fabric of Indian society. Women are considered as the hub center of the family. Still, in the era of political domination by foreigners, the women in India suffered most. A few social reform measures were taken towards the later 19th and early 20th century during the British regime. The inception of Mahatma Gandhi in the National freedom movement ushered a new concept of mass mobilization. Women constituted about 50% of the country’s total population, he, therefore, involved women in the nation’s liberation movement. The mass participation of women directly in the freedom struggle was the great divide in the history of (Feminist movement) empowerment of women. They shed age-old disabilities and shared the responsibility of liberation of their motherland with their counter parts. The freedom of India thus became synonymous with the empowerment of women. In this context the date of India’s political freedom (August 15, 1947) is a landmark in the history of women empowerment in India. It brought in its wake a great consciousness in our society for human dignity. It was realized that every citizen of independent India be accorded equal treatment under the law.

This is the urban age and Women along with men are here to make an impact, let’s not ignore them, let’s listen and prioritize them. In almost all societies through history, Women have occupied secondary position vis-à-vis men.

Women’s rights and issues have always been a subject of serious concern of academicians, intelligentsia and policy makers. From pastoral society to contemporary information and global society, the role of Women has changed drastically. The role of a typical “Grihani” (house wife) who catered to all the requirements of the house holds including the rearing and upbringing of children in various sub roles of daughter, daughter-in-law, wife, mother, aunt etc. has been played quite efficiently. The continuity of changes in socio-economic and psycho-cultural aspects of human living has influenced the role of Women. With the process of Industrialization, Modernization and Globalization showing its deep impact on the human society all over the world, the role and responsibilities of Women has attained new definition and perspective. Further this has also led to addition of responsibilities and widened the role of Women who also shares the financial responsibilities.

The Women issues have received tremendous attention in the planning circle and in wide intellectual discussions and forums at national and global platforms. However the existing lacuna in the formulation and execution of the policies has not changed the grass root situation to a great extent. On the encouraging front, in the South Asian countries there have been relatively increasing economic participation in past one decade. Statistically the rate of literacy among Women has also increased. The educational and occupational patterns have also changed and widened with Women entering the domains, which till decade back was considered to be dominated by men. Further there has been encouraging rise in the percentage of the Women joining service sector especially Banking and Information Technology. In the background of the gigantic transformation, the core issue, which still remains unanswered, is that of Women’s right and empowerment.

The Women rights are the means by which a dignified living is ensured thereby safeguarding her privileges. Thus the basic fundamental rights of speech, freedom and decision-making are her basic rights as an individual and citizen. The right for education and employment are significant for Women development and national development in the wider sense. The power and freedom to exercise these rights is Women empowerment. Women rights and empowerment are not independent of each other. The Women empowerment can only be facilitated only if she is able to exercise her right in the socio-economic spheres of decision-making.
AN OVERVIEW

India, with a population of 989 million, is the world’s second most populous country. Of that number, 120 million are Women who live in poverty.

India has 16 percent of the world’s population, but only 2.4 percent of its land, resulting in great pressures on its natural resources.

Over 70 percent of India’s population currently derives their livelihood from land resources, which includes 84 percent of the economically-active Women.

India is one of the few countries where males significantly outnumber females, and this imbalance has increased over time. India’s maternal mortality rates in rural areas are among the worlds highest. From a global perspective, Indian accounts for 19 percent of all lives births and 27 percent of all maternal deaths.

“There seems to be a consensus that higher female mortality between ages one and five and high maternal mortality rates result in a deficit of females in the population. In the year 1990 it was estimated that deaths of young girls in India exceed those of young boys by over 300,000 each year, and every sixth infant death is specifically due to gender discrimination.” Of the 15 million baby girls born in India each year, nearly 25 percent will not live to see their 15th birthday.
The Indian constitution grants Women equal rights with men, but strong patriarchal traditions persist, with Women’s lives shaped by customs that are centuries old. In most Indian families, a daughter is viewed as a liability, and she is conditioned to believe that she is inferior and subordinate to men. Sons are idolized and celebrated. May you be the mother of a hundred sons is a common Hindu wedding blessing.

The origin of the Indian idea of appropriate female behavior can be traced to the rules laid down by Manu in 200 B.C.: “by a young girl, by a young woman, or even by an aged one, nothing must be done independently, even in her own house”. “In childhood a female must be subject to her father, in youth to her husband, when her lord is dead to her sons; a woman must never be independent.”

WOMEN ARE MALNOURISHED

The exceptionally high rates of malnutrition in South Asia are rooted deeply in the soil of inequality between men and Women.

This point is made in the article, The Asian Enigma, published by Unicef in the 1996 Progress of Nations, in which the rates of childhood malnutrition in South Asia are compared with those in Africa. We learn that malnutrition is far worse in South Asia, directly due to the fact that Women in South Asia have less voice and freedom of movement than in Africa despite the fact that in comparison to Africa , Asia is far more better in terms of economy.

MATERNAL MORTALITY

India’s maternal mortality rates in rural areas are among the highest in the world.
A factor that contributes to India’s high maternal mortality rate is the reluctance to seek medical care for pregnancy – it is viewed as a temporary condition that will disappear. The estimates nationwide are that only 40-50 percent of Women receive any antenatal care. Evidence from the states of Bihar, Rajasthan, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat find registration for maternal and child health services to be as low as 5-22 percent in rural areas and 21-51 percent in urban areas.

Even a woman who has had difficulties with previous pregnancies is usually treated with home remedies only for three reasons: the decision that a pregnant woman seek help rests with the mother-in-law and husband; financial considerations; and fear that the treatment may be more harmful than the malady.

JOB IMPACT ON MATERNAL HEALTH

“Working conditions result in premature and stillbirths.”

The tasks performed by Women are usually those that require them to be in one position for long periods of time, which can adversely affect their reproductive health. A study in a rice-growing belt of coastal Maharashtra found that 40 percent of all infant deaths occurred in the months of July to October. The study also found that a majority of births were either premature or stillbirths. The study attributed this to the squatting position that had to be assumed during July and August, the rice transplanting months.

WOMEN ARE UNEDUCATED

“Women and girls receive far less education than men, due both to social norms and fears of violence.”

India has the largest population of non-school-going working girls.

Although substantial progress has been achieved since India won its independence in 1947, when less than 8 percent of females were literate, the gains have not been rapid enough to keep pace with population growth: there were 16 million more illiterate females in 1991 than in 1981.

WOMEN ARE OVERWORKED

“Women work longer hours and their work is more arduous than men’s. Still, men report that “Women, like children, eat and do nothing.”

Women work roughly twice as many as many hours as men.

Women’s contribution to agriculture – whether it be subsistence farming or commercial agriculture – when measured in terms of the number of tasks performed and time spent, is greater than men. “The extent of Women’s contribution is aptly highlighted by a micro study conducted in the Indian Himalayas which found that on a one-hectare farm, a pair of bullocks works 1,064 hours, a man 1,212 hours and a woman 3,485 hours in a year.”

THE INVISIBILITY OF WOMEN’S WORK

Women’s work is rarely recognized.

Many maintain that Women’s economic dependence on men impacts their power within the family. With increased participation in income-earning activities, not only will there be more income for the family, but gender inequality should be reduced. This issue is particularly salient in India because studies show a very low level of female participation in the labor force. This under-reporting is attributed to the frequently held view that Women’s work is not economically productive.
Women’s employment in family farms or businesses is rarely recognized as economically productive, either by men or Women. And, any income generated from this work is generally controlled by the men. Such work is unlikely to increase Women’s participation in allocating family finances. In a 1992 study of family-based texile workers, male children who helped in a home-based handloom mill were given pocket money, but the adult Women and girls were not.

WOMEN ARE ILLTREATED

“Violence against Women and girls is the most pervasive human rights violation in the world today.”
“Opening the door on the subject of violence against the world’s females is like standing at the threshold of an immense dark chamber vibrating with collective anguish, but with the sounds of protest throttled back to a murmur. Where there should be outrage aimed at an intolerable status quo there is instead denial, and the largely passive acceptance of ‘the way things are.”

Male violence against Women is a worldwide phenomenon. Although not every woman has experienced it, and many expect not to, fear of violence is an important factor in the lives of most Women. It determines what they do, when they do it, where they do it, and with whom. Fear of violence is a cause of Women’s lack of participation in activities beyond the home, as well as inside it. Within the home, Women and girls may be subjected to physical and sexual abuse as punishment or as culturally justified assaults. These acts shape their attitude to life, and their expectations of themselves.

In recent years, there has been an alarming rise in atrocities against Women in India. Every 26 minutes a woman is molested. Every 34 minutes a rape takes place. Every 42 minutes a sexual harassment incident occurs. Every 43 minutes a woman is kidnapped. And every 93 minutes a woman is burnt to death over dowry.

One-quarter of the reported rapes involve girls under the age of 16 but the vast majority are never reported. Although the penalty is severe, convictions are rare.

WOMEN ARE POWERLESS

Legal protection of Women’s rights have little effect in the face of prevailing patriarchal traditions.
Be it in the case of Marriage:

“Women are subordinate in most marriages.”

Child Marriages

“Child marriages keep Women subjugated.”

Dowries:

Women are kept subordinate, and are even murdered, by the practice of dowry.

Divorce:

Divorce is not a viable option.

Divorce is rare – it is a considered a shameful admission of a woman’s failure as a wife and daughter-in-law. In 1990, divorced Women made up a miniscule 0.08 percent of the total female population.

Maintenance rights of Women in the case of divorce are weak. Although both Hindu and Muslim law recognize the rights of Women and children to maintenance, in practice, maintenance is rarely set at a sufficient amount and is frequently violated.

Inheritance

Women’s rights to inheritance are limited and frequently violated.

In the mid-1950s the Hindu personal laws, which apply to all Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs and Jains, were overhauled, banning polygamy and giving Women rights to inheritance, adoption and divorce. The Muslim personal laws differ considerably from that of the Hindus, and permit polygamy. Despite various laws protecting Women’s rights, traditional patriarchal attitudes still prevail and are strengthened and perpetuated in the home.

EMPOWERMENT AND WOMEN: VARIABLE IN INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The World Bank has identified empowerment as one of the key constituent elements of poverty reduction, and as a primary development assistance goal. The Bank has also made gender mainstreaming a priority in development assistance, and is in the process of implementing an ambitious strategy to this effect. The promotion of Women’s empowerment as a development goal is based on a dual argument: that social justice is an important aspect of human welfare and is intrinsically worth pursuing; and that Women’s empowerment is a means to other ends. A recent policy research report by the World Bank, for example, identifies gender equality both as a development objective in itself, and as a means to promote growth, reduce poverty and promote better governance. A similar dual rationale for supporting Women’s empowerment has been articulated in the policy statements put forth at several high level international conferences in the past decade (e.g. the Beijing Platform for Action, the Beijing declaration and resolution, the Cairo Programme of Action, the Millennium Declaration, and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.

Yet to date neither the World Bank nor any other major development agency has developed a rigorous method for measuring and tracking changes in levels of empowerment. In the absence of such measures, it is difficult for the international development community to be confident that their efforts to empower women are succeeding and that this important Millennium Development Goal will be achieved.

Thus, this review attempts to the following:

1. An indication of the different ways in which empowerment has been conceptualized;

2. A critical examination of some of the approaches that have been developed to measure and track changes in Women’s empowerment;

3. An examination of some of the ways in which the effects of policies and programmatic interventions to promote Women’s empowerment have been measured;

4. A summary of the evidence on how Women’s empowerment affects important development outcomes such as health, education, fertility behavior, income levels, etc.

How Should Empowerment be Operationally Defined?

“Empowerment” has been used to represent a wide range of concepts and to describe a proliferation of outcomes. The term has been used more often to advocate for certain types of policies and intervention strategies than to analyze them, as demonstrated by a number of documents from the United Nations, the Association for Women in Development, the Declaration made at the Micro-credit Summit, and other organizations. Feminist activist writings often promote empowerment of individuals and organizations of Women but vary in the extent to which they conceptualize or discuss how to identify it.

Relevant studies describe empowerment as “the enhancement of assets and capabilities of diverse individuals and groups to engage, influence and hold accountable the institutions which affect them.” In general, Women do not take a central place in much of the literature on social inclusion or empowerment.

The Process of Empowerment

There are various attempts in the literature to develop a comprehensive understanding of empowerment through breaking the process down into key components.

MEASURING WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT

Measuring Empowerment from a Universalist Perspective

As we move from a discussion of conceptualizing empowerment to measuring it, it is important to note that measures of empowerment must involve standards that lie outside localized gender systems and a recognition of universal elements of gender subordination.

As we move from a discussion of conceptualizing empowerment to measuring it, it is important to note that measures of empowerment must involve standards that lie outside localized gender systems and a recognition of universal elements of gender subordination (Sen and Grown 1987; Bisnath and Elson 1999; Nussbaum 2000). It is clear from the literature on gender and empowerment that the role of gender in development cannot be understood without understanding the socio-cultural (as well as political and economic) contexts in which development takes place. The concept of empowerment only has meaning within these specific contexts. At the same time, operational definitions (e.g. definitions embodied in indicators to be applied in the context of development assistance policies, programs, and projects) should be consistent with the spirit of international conventions to which countries providing international development assistance have been signatories. The approach based in universal human rights offers the best operational framework for this task.

Because empowerment is multi-dimensional, researchers must use care in constructing index or scale variables relating to empowerment Such variables may mask differential effects of interventions on distinct aspects of empowerment. Inappropriate combining of items relating to gender and empowerment may also mask differential effects of the component variables on outcomes of interest.

CHALLENGES TO MEASURING EMPOWERMENT

Empowerment is Context Specific

One of the major difficulties in measuring empowerment is that the behaviors and attributes that signify empowerment in one context often have different meanings elsewhere. For example, a shift in women’s ability to visit a health center without getting permission from a male household member may be a sign of empowerment in rural Bangladesh but not in, for example, urban Peru. Context can also be important in determining the extent to which empowerment at the household or individual level is a determinant of development outcomes.

CRITICAL PARADIGMS

There are certain critical paradigms, which need to be examined from the point of view of women issues.

1. Constitutional Provisions and Policies: The principle of gender equality is enshrined in the Constitution of India (in the Preamble and fundamental rights) where by the constitution upholds and grants the equality to women. The National commission for women, which was set up in 1990 through an Act of Parliament to safeguard the rights and legal entitlements of women, is considered to be the apex body to ensure rights and work towards the women empowerment. In terms of five-year plans the fifth five-year plan (1974-78) is considered to be very crucial from the point of view of women development with 1975 being declared as International Year of Women.
The 73rd and 74th Amendments of constitution of India in 1993 are landmarks to ensure political empowerment of women. These provisions surely ensure of legal protection of women’s rights, but socio-economic rights of freedom and decision-making is still not realized to the extent of social empowerment. One of the reasons is the rigid patriarchal structure of the Indian Society.

National Policy for the empowerment of women (2001):

The goal of the National Policy for the empowerment of women is to bring about the advancement, development and empowerment of women. Some of the specific objectives of this policy are: a) Creating an environment through positive economic and social policies for full development of women to enable them to realize their full potential, b) Equal access to health care, quality education at all levels, career and vocational guidance etc, c) Elimination of discrimination and all forms of violence against women and girl child.

The policy also provides for economic empowerment through poverty eradication, micro credit programmes, training of women to facilitate them in playing efficient role in agriculture and industry. The social empowerment of women is facilitated through effective provisions of Education, Health, Nutrition, Drinking water and Sanitation, gender sensitization etc. Elimination of all forms of violence against women, physical and mental, whether at domestic or societal levels, including those arising from customs, traditions and accepted practices.

The effective implementation of the policy at all levels can be a gigantic step for women development and can set an example for other countries in South Asia.

WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT ISSUES AND REMEDIES IN INDIA

Empowerment of women is a gradual and complicated process. It involves changing the way of thinking of the whole society. From long time it has been stamped on the minds of the people that women are inferior to men. It is not easy to change the stubborn attitude of the people. In rural India, Women have inadequate access to education, health facilities, healthy diet etc.

In India gradually the percentage of working women is rising. Only by contributing towards income of the family the women can get rid of the status of “burden”.

Entrepreneur women can positively contribute to attain the goal of women empowerment. Entrepreneurship provides women for what she is longing for – control over the resources and power of decision making. Such women can help in poverty alleviation by providing job opportunities for many other deserving women.

Surveys have proved that a large percentage of educated but not trained women are present in the country. Such women can be given training in a specific field like making homemade papads or pickles, handicrafts and many such things and can start their own small enterprise.

Self-employment is a blessing for poor and deserving women as sufficient job opportunities are not available in the country. In small sector, the women may be owner of the enterprise may be a manager or controller or may be a worker in the enterprise.

Tenth plan is initiating women empowerment by implementing specific strategies like such social environment would be created by providing necessary services so that women would be proficient to utilize their potential, To make the women economically self-reliant, proper training would be provided to them. Equal rights for the women would be provided so that there is no social, political discrimination against her.

In the present scenario, where phenomenal advancements are occurring in each and every sphere, women empowerment has become crucial for alleviating poverty and procuring over all growth.
We can not abscond the fact that Women’s rights are human rights and should be treated as such. .The fact that women’s rights need to be safeguarded in every country of the world cannot be overemphasized. In a historic decision, the Rajasthan government is changing the service rules to punish employees who are found guilty of torturing their wives. As reported in a national daily, the punishment could involve sacking and action would correspond the crime, with punishments including suspension and stoppage of increments.

A small step forward in terms of marriage was taken when the Hindu Marriage Act was enacted in 1955. The term Hindu in this case includes Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs and their denominations. Several laws have been enacted including the Child Marriage Restraint Act of 1929 and the current Special Marriage Act,1954 which governs civil marriages. In this Act, for a boy and girl to get married they must have completed 21 and 18 years of age respectively. Bigamy is prohibited in this Act and each party is expected to give consent to the marriage. For a civil marriage, three witnesses are necessary. Progressive laws such as these protect the woman. Under the Islamic law, marriage is considered a contract and a nikaah is performed with several do’s and don’ts. The Parsis are governed by the Parsi Marriage and Divorce Act, 1936. Christians are governed by the Christian Marriage Act, 1872 and the marriage usually takes place in a church.

The report on the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) released by the Government recently mentions the steps taken by it to contain the negative impact of restructuring of the economy that India has embarked upon. The Government of India made special efforts to increase its support for social sectors and started a number of schemes aimed at the poor, particularly poor women and women in the informal sector. These include the Rashtriya Mahila Kosh and the Mahila Samakhya programs.

Keeping in line with the governmentýs policy on equal opportunity, there are 65 women in senior positions in the Indian Foreign Service around the world. For the first time after Independence the highest post in the Foreign Service, is to be occupied by a female foreign secretary, Chokila Iyer. It is commendable that despite various hurdles and mindsets, the Government has managed to ensure equal career opportunities for women.

The government has taken a number of steps and enacted a number of legislations to protect and safeguard women and ensure that their rights are not abused. One such measure is the Maternity Benefits Act, 1961.

RECOMMENDATIONS

We propose the following next steps for moving forward the agenda on measuring women’s empowerment:

1. Development of a framework of domains or dimensions that can be applied across settings would be the natural next step for building on the strengths of the existing literature on the conceptualization of empowerment. Procedures for determining indicators for each domain, at different levels of aggregation, and across contexts, should also be developed. This effort would move the measurement of women’s empowerment agenda forward considerably by allowing for greater specification of exactly what aspect of empowerment-i.e. which dimension-is of interest, and realistic specifications of the type of change that can be expected over a specific period of time, and given specific interventions. It would also move forward efforts to develop context-specific measures that more closely resemble what they are meant to measure and reduce the reliance on proxy measures.

2. Better, more coordinated efforts at data collection are needed. For example, the process component of women’s empowerment cannot be effectively captured in any measurement scheme without the availability of data across time. Attention to process also requires a discussion of the appropriate time periods for data collection of various types of indicators. At the aggregate level, a broader range of more sophisticated, gender- disaggregated data are needed with regard to the labor force, market conditions, legal and political rights, political and social processes. At the household level, data need to be more frequently collected for important, but relatively under-utilized indicators such as time use or violence against women.

3. Greater attention to measuring women’s empowerment at “meso” levels is required along with efforts at documenting the impact of program and policy interventions. For programmatic and policy evaluation, existing models of monitoring and evaluation that are effective need to be tapped, and their adequacy for women’s empowerment as an outcome or intermediary process should be assessed. At a minimum, quasi-experimental evaluation designs and the collection of baseline and endline data must be considered in implementing programs aimed at empowering women. Measurement of institutional and normative change in communities requires new and innovative approaches. One approach to consider is the business school model of case studies. Documentation through narratives which are then analyzed using qualitative techniques would be another option. Exploration of the work on collective action may also provide further guidance. This is clearly an area where a review of lessons learned from related efforts and cross- disciplinary approaches would be helpful.

4. Greater interdisciplinary engagement is necessary to develop indicators and approaches that capture the key elements of women’s empowerment, have scientific merit, and acceptability among important stakeholders. Although at this stage we have drawn only from literature that has been at the core of the discourse on women’s empowerment, it is clear that continued efforts at moving this work forward would benefit from drawing on a wide range of disciplines. Moreover, based on what we reviewed from sociology, demography, economics, and anthropology, it is clear that there is overlap, but not much interaction across disciplines. Further interdisciplinary engagement would greatly facilitate the task of translating the current consensus on conceptualization to the actual measurement of women’s empowerment.

CONCLUSION

As UN Secretary General Kofi Annan has stated, “Gender equality is more than a goal in itself. It is a precondition for meeting the challenge of reducing poverty, promoting sustainable development and building good governance.”

In a globalizing world, gender equality and empowerments of women are vital tools-to achieve sustainable developments of societies, and are even admitted by the fools!
Still, the violence towards women is an epidemic against which no country is immune-
And today, we face the greater challenges of human rights and a non-melodious tune!
In the arena of politics, the poor are excluded from governance, regardless of the gender- And women are victims of other people’s decisions ‘Cause they are assumed to be tender! So the entire spectrum of women’s roles to combat poverty, hunger, and disease- Need to be re-examined under the new Millennium lights before the roles decease! Impacts of modern conflicts now affect the global women and girls without a doubt- But they’re neither initiators nor prosecutors of conflicts, or matching game of shout! Determined efforts must be taken to end the impunity surrounding this lamentable claw- And the perpetrators must be brought to justice, and told that they are not above the law!

Only through action to remedy discrimination against women can the vision of India’s independence – an India where all people have the chance to live health and productive lives – be realized.

Why don’t I just change my Contact address if it is being clobbered with UCE? …because it is MY CONTACT address, not some revenue-generator for SPAMmers or the irresponsible list Administrators who see it as a cash cow to be sold, rented, or misused for their own financial gain. If I change it, how long will it be until the new one also gets clobbered with “Solo Ads”? Why do some of them tell you it could take up to a week for the “Solo Ads” to stop coming after you change your address? Because they have sold it or added it to a list of Contact email addresses being used by blasters, and it will take a week to get all the junk mail through the system before changes to the lists can be processed.

I established a dedicated CONTACT address to maintain CONTACT with those who have a business need to contact me. A large number of LEGITIMATE business partners contact me through that address, and NONE of them SPAM it with hundreds of “Solo Ads”. I have spent a lot of time and money developing that email address. It is valuable to me. For thousands of people with whom I do business, it is my established “address”. Next, they will tell me I need to move from my home if I am getting too much junk mail through the Post Office.

Some say, if we don’t like it, we can unsubscribe. Why should those of us with principle be forced to abandon one of the most efficient promotional and advertising media available to us just so unethical and irresponsible list administrators can continue to misuse the contact addresses of those who stay?

This problem is not unique to my contact address, it affects all of the individuals. This is not a personal vendetta, it is not a crusade against advertisers, it is an observation of a systemic problem that could very well destroy Safelists altogether. The correct response to this problem is “No, YOU change your unethical practice of abusing email addresses given to you for the purpose of maintaining CONTACT with individuals”.

Here is an excellent article written by Ryan Allis, the CEO of Broadwick Corp., providers of the leading permission-based email marketing software “IntelliContact Pro”… Why Email Marketing Matters. The following quote immediately caught my attention: “The first and most important rule is to only send relevant content to persons who have requested it.” (emphasis mine)…if it LOOKS like a duck, QUACKS like a duck,….

No matter how it is gilded, the increasing trend of blasting UCE to an individual’s CONTACT email addresses is a thinly veiled attempt by those List Administrators who are intellectually prostituting themselves as surrogates for SPAMMers to circumvent anti-SPAM laws using a technicality. It is an abuse of the trust placed in them by individuals…and it is counterproductive to their business interests. The disclaimers in the “Solo Ads” are getting to be almost as long and detailed as the ads themselves…ALL CAPS, confrontational, “in your face“, and emphasizing that if we don’t like it, we can unsubscribe. Are they trying to convince me or themselves that they aren’t just SPAM? That really puts the reader in a great mood to read the ad, doesn’t it?

Reading some of the noble yet quite hypocritical disclaimers about SPAM on many of the sites providing the Ad Blasting to “Contact” email addresses reminds me of a sign I once saw. It read, “The louder he bragged of his honor, the faster we counted our spoons.”

Solo Ads to Private Contact Addresses — Reality

The subject presents a real dilemma for safelist owners and Admins. It all comes down to priorities, respect, and doing what is ethical — and what makes good business sense. The current practice of blasting “Solo Ads” to Contact email addresses demonstrates utter CONTEMPT for the individuals and their privacy. And how much “respect” does it show for individuals to refer to them as “Fresh, Very Clean, Filtered HOT Leads”? Those are terms one might expect to hear at a food court or from a street vendor, not references to valued potential customers. Such conduct is what one might expect from small-time operators with neither ethics nor imagination and very little marketing acumen taking advantage of loopholes, not savvy business people employing sound marketing practices.

Can you imagine the outcry if your phone company, the gas company, the electric utility, your doctor, everyone who has your private contact information called you or sent you junk mail all day long trying to sell ads for third parties or trying to get you to buy something else from them besides what you contracted to buy from them originally? How does receiving “Solo Ad blasts” from List Admins differ from suddenly receiving a barrage of junk mail and brochures from drug companies and offers for medical insurance originating from your doctor’s business mailer? Having special access does not automatically grant a license to abuse the privilege, and smart marketers understand that principle and use the privilege wisely. Regardless of disclaimers or concessions that had to be accepted by individuals in order to be allowed to join a safelist, the practice of Admins blasting Solo ads to contact addresses is irresponsible and very counterproductive…and I’ll explain why.

Contact ads to Free members at a reasonable frequency may be a fair exchange for letting them use the system at no cost, but abusing the privilege can still be counterproductive. At least put something of value in them, not just the same ad they get in their List account degraded by half a page of condescending “disclaimers”. Free members are also trying to make money and may be in desperate straits with little or no income, few skills, and little education to find jobs in the conventional market. They probably don’t have much to invest…that’s probably why they are at the Free level. They may have to access the Internet and their email using a dialup connection and a modem, so how long do you think it takes them to download hundreds of “Solo Ads” they don’t want to see before they can get to their important email or visit a website they want to access? They probably don’t have big, expensive computers with lots of storage space for junk mail, and they may be operating on a shoestring, so piling on more junk mail with the expectation that they will like it and read it and buy whatever is being blasted to them is questionable at best and poor marketing without a doubt. If anything, they need a break more than paid members do, and they may even need mentoring, not abusive ad blasts to wade through.

Generating good will with them could pay big dividends in loyalty and trust when Admins do send them an offer that the Admin endorses. Admins have a ready-made personal contact list, which is worth a lot of money. They are building an ever-growing enemies list — for themselves AND the person whose ad they are blasting — if they keep abusing it. individuals may be willing to invest the few dollars they have if they trust the Admin who vouches that the offer is a sound investment with high probability of earning revenue, not just another gamble based on hype and smoke and mirrors that the Admin is offering only because someone paid to send it. What credibility does a third party have with individuals? How much credibility does the Admin lose if this is just another worthless scheme but the Admin sent it to them in a full page “Solo Ad” anyway?…full of “disclaimers”.

The number of dollars an Admin might make selling Solo ads that are summarily deleted by frustrated and angry individuals pales in comparison to the multitude of signups and sales s/he could generate by treating individuals with respect and earning their trust and confidence. When they do have an important message to send to the individuals, it may not be seen or it may get summarily deleted along with the rest of the Junk mail out of habit. Which would you consider favorably, the same hyped-up third party ad blasted to you 100 times in your Contact address or ONE well-written offer from your list Admin who is offering a proposal in which s/he is also investing time and money? With some “incentives” in it such as extra credits, interesting contests with prizes, or just plain old good business tips, readers would look forward to receiving it.

Sending any information to a Contact address carries with it a degree of authority and credibility for the Admin. If the Admin has been careful never to mislead individuals or try to coerce them into some fly-by-night unproven scheme offered by a third party no one knows anything about, both good will and trust keep growing. Having created an atmosphere of trust and respect, when the Admin sends individuals an offer, s/he can be assured that they will look at it seriously. If the Admin says “this is a proven opportunity, I thoroughly checked it out, I am making money with it, and I will help you make money”, most individuals will be more willing to take a chance as opposed to the third party ad where the Admin puts a disclaimer saying “Admin neither endorses nor verifies the claims made in this third party advertisement”…(read, “I have no respect for you or the sanctity of your private Contact address; I just use it as a second List address to try to make more money off of you by selling as many “Solo Ads” as I can, and you HAVE to let me do it because you agreed to accept them when you signed up”).

Admin is not responsible for the contents of this ad. It is being sent as a service to the purchaser of this solo ad [and as a DISservice to the individual who is legally being extorted to receive it].”…actually Admin is responsible. Admin sent it. If it contained a death threat or other prohibited content, Admin would be in big trouble because it came from Admin’s mailer.

Why the use of anti-SPAM “masking” in the disclaimer? Guilt, knowing that these messages are simply SPAM but they must be accepted by the recipient in order to be a member of the Safelist?…or something left over from the original SPAMmer’s template? No need to “mask” legitimate messages sent to an email address to which the originator is authorized to send email, right? Are you beginning to understand the ramifications?

I hope I have effectively outlined the pros and cons of sending “Solo ads” to an individual’s Contact addresses…and the fallacy of the current practice of indiscriminately blasting them to individuals as though the Contact address is a second List address. Contact with individuals is a business necessity and a valuable commodity. Abuse it, you lose it. Blasting “Solo Ads” to Contact addresses could kill safelists altogether, and then everyone loses.

CONTACT email — abuse it, you lose it.

As if the fire alone wasn’t bad enough, you now have to deal with the effects of it. In addition to contacting your insurance company and a fire damage restoration company, you now have to clean up the mess the fire has left behind. It is best and more convenient to have a restoration company restore your home thoroughly, but if you didn’t have insurance or feel it would be better to clean it yourself, then here are some ways you can clean up the soot damage.

Soot is the ash-like, oily residue that is left behind after a fire, and it can be difficult to clean if you do not know what you are doing. Do not at any time rub soot into the material, especially when it is on cloth or some other textile. It might cause a stain that will be even harder to clean or will become permanent. All food that was left exposed during the fire should most definitely be thrown out. Before you start, make sure you wear clothes that can be thrown away or clothes that you don’t care to get dirty, gloves, and a face mask.

A vacuum will usually do the trick and remove the soot from your belongings. Make sure you do not use any of your vacuum’s brush attachments or other quirky accessories that might only embed the soot into the fibers more. The simple nozzle attachment will do the trick and should be held about 1/4″ from the surface to ensure that the nozzle doesn’t end up rubbing the soot into the material as well.

Clothes should be taken to a dry cleaning place that specializes in soot and fire restoration if they are loaded with soot. Otherwise, you can vacuum the soot off and then hand or machine wash the clothes until both the residue and the smoke odor are gone. Depending on how strong the odor is, you might need to wash the clothes more than once or even a few times.

Soot that is on your walls, plaster, wallpaper, or any exposed wood can be cleaned with a dry chemical sponge. Using this sponge will prevent the soot from permeating the surface and being transferred deep into the material. You will need a soot removal spray to clean the walls thoroughly. If re-painting the wall is necessary, then using a product like Winsol Cleansall will help prepare the wall for repainting. Other materials, such as glass, marble countertops, tile, steel, and vinyl are the easiest to clean because of their smooth, non-porous surfaces. Wiping these down with cloth towels or a sponge should be adequate in getting all of the soot out.

The Resource Matrix IV: Layers

A new-age freak grinned at me last Friday and shared her relevation, “Everything’s energy. And everything’s connected. Don’t you get it, man?”

But you know, she’s right.

Otherwise, how would you explain melting polar ice and island nations disappearing under rising ocean levels? Randomness just doesn’t cut it as a solid excuse anymore.

A couple of years ago, some determined energy interests utilized hired hypnotic practitioners (several US senators and climate scientists) to declare to the public that there is no global warming. Early on, they tried introduce confusion into the debate with their term, “climate change,” which suggested that the environment changes randomly and there’s no proof that global warming is a serious trend.

Unfortunately for them, their efforts didn’t work, and ironically “climate change” is another term for “global warming.”

Have broken through that layer of illusion, the Do-Gooders (concerned scientists and environmental groups) and the Hybrids (for-profit companies that actually do some of those same things that someone who cares about you would do, rather than merely say, “We care about you,” which all companies say) have helped us gain greater awareness and provided with the means to change:

  • “Global warming is real, and here’s a CFL lightbulb and more info.”
  • “Water shortage is real, and it has nothing to do with long showers.”

Today, in our final article of The Resource Matrix, we peel back layer after layer to get to the core and break the code that sends the whole system crashing down like a ton of bricks. And what you find will surprise — even shock you!

Let’s begin with the first layer:

Layer 1:
the illusion that non-sustainable costs less than sustainable

We began The Resource Matrix by explaining that economics comes out of 18th century political economy, and that political economy itself comes out of moral philosophy, and this moral philosophy apparently had room for colonialism, a fancy term for the answer to the eternal question: “How can I get that for free?”

Within economics and its moral background is the concept of the “free good:” a good that is not scarce. A free good is available in as great a quantity as desired with zero opportunity cost to society. Earlier schools of economic thought proposed that free goods were resources that are so abundant in nature that there is enough for everyone to have as much as they want.

To sustain the illusion that products that pollute the air and water are cheaper than those that don’t create a mess, the scroundels just pay the referees fat sacks of hush money. “What foul? Play ball!”

Layer 2:
the illusion of separation

The next layer we peel away is the seeming “illusion of separation.” The grinning new-age freaky girl has it right again: “Everything’s connected.”

Global warming is not a fossil fuel issue. It’s a consumption issue that involves insane water policies that dictate growing cotton in the Egyptian desert, installing the world’s highest-shooting fountain in the desert city of Phoenix, Arizona to run 12 hours out of every 24, draining rivers to grow rice for exports, polluting the same rivers in India that people drink from with toxic chemicals used for dyeing cotton and wondering why nearly every single person in town died. And on and on ad nauseum.

Layer 3:
it’s up to government and industry to bring change

In the commercial marketplace, you vote with your feet. If you’re sitting in a movie theater and the film sucks, you stand up because you can’t take it any longer. And walk out. Just remember who the lousy director or actor was so you’re not doomed to repeat your history of lousy film choices.

If we leave it to government and industry to form a partnership to solve water usage issues, it will be virtual warfare, as we described in our last article (The Resource Matrix part 3 of 4: the coming cold water waters):

In this game, you start as leader of a country which has certain industries, a growing population, and dwindling water resources. Your objective is to maintain or enhance the lifestyle of your people by shifting water use to other countries in order to prevent internal strife and your eventual overthrow and death by coup d’etat.

And as you read, this game has no winners. It’s not sustainable.

Rather than blindly obeying the on-screen instructions (“Please pick a COUNTRY, PLAYER NAME, and Press the START button to begin now.”), it’s best never to press the START button at all.

Instead of giving your power over to the Government/Industry Gamers, vote with your feet.

Like doing business with those who conduct themselves in line with your own beliefs (cruelty-free products manufacturer, member of your own religious faith), you can make certain individual decisions consciously.

In certain cases, you make conscious decisions that consciously support certain businesses:

  • retailers (and the manufacturers) of compact fluorescent bulbs
  • shade-grown coffee
  • cruelty-free health and beauty products

In certain cases, you make conscious decisions that unconsciously reduce support for certain businesses:

  • using daylight instead of manufactured light sources reduces coal production and its polluting effects, in addition to saving energy

How about water? What choices do you have? Here’s possible near-future scenes:

Online resumes now include diet preferences as an indicator of personal water footprint and employment site search tools include diet as a filter.

Business headlines: “Demand for beef-free Hindu programmers causes short squeeze in software development market – low-waterfoot print computer geeks ask for, get 25% more than meat-eating peers” and “All-vegan employee company Sustainatrix International goes public in huge stock offering – market value of $150 billion confirms validity of sustainability in capital and financial modeling”

The Matrix and Vanilla Sky:
Not what it seems

In The Matrix, Morpheus explains that “the Matrix is everywhere, it is all around us. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.”

In the 2001 Tom Cruise psychological thriller Vanilla Sky, built layer upon layer of seeming reality, Cruise’s handsome character enjoys the charmed rich life, then gets into an accident that mars his face, over which he needs to wear a mask. Eventually distraught, he goes out drinking, and ends up literally in the gutter to sleep it off.

He wakes to continue his life in an sequence of odd experiences. Finally remembering some repressed memories, he gets help and peels back one layer of the illusion: all his “experiences” since landing in the gutter have been a dream.

Trying to cope with his shattered worldview, he peels back another layer: worse, he’s been “dead” for 150 years and in a state of suspended animation.

And yet, the movie itself is not what it seems. Vanilla Sky was a Hollywood idle rich American kid adaptation of the 1997 Spanish original entitled Abre Los Ojos (Open Your Eyes) and also co-starred Penelope Cruz in her same role.

I introduced this four-part series by explaining that:

the Resource Matrix is everywhere, it is all around us. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.

You take the blue pill and the story ends.

You take the red pill and you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.

I’ve shown you how deep the rabbit hole goes, and now you can wake in your bed and choose to continue to live like Tom Cruise, or you can break the code.

To break the code that creates the graphical user interface and see the illusion for what it really is, you need only do one thing, as repeated by Tom Cruise’s alarm clock each morning in Vanilla Sky:

Open your eyes.

And see the Resource Matrix, everywhere, all around you.

Thanks for letting us keep you updated . . .

SAS 8615 N95 Particulate Respirator 120 Boxes (20 Resprirators Per Box), 2400 Masks

Posted by vankd123 on May 25, 2009

Toluene is a common compound widely used in many industries as a solvent in paints, lacquers, glues and explosives. Household items such as nail polish, inks, glues, and stain removers all contain toluene. Toluene is also present in cigarette smoke and car exhaust but it occurs as a natural component of crude oil and can be extracted from a native Colombian balsam tree.

Toluene reacts readily with air and can be broken down to its component substances and compounds easily. However, when accidental spills of toluene occur on the ground, there is a huge possibility that it will leach into the soil and into the groundwater.

It is highly flammable, reacts easily with strong oxidizers and acids (nitric and sulfuric) and can cause damage to some forms of rubber, plastics, and coatings. When inhaled, ingested or come into contact with significant levels of toluene, the patient can experience dizziness, nausea, headache, stomach spasms when swallowed and itching and redness when it comes in contact with the skin.

What should you do when an accident happens in the workplace?

Even with strict safety policies in place, there is always that small possibility for the inevitable, an accident. It is very important that workers know what to do when an accident occurs. It must be an inherent concept of the company’s standard safety operating procedures that workers are given first aid seminar on toluene along with other hazardous chemicals.

When inhaled, patient must be moved to the open for fresh air or if there is a need for artificial respiration then by all means do so and call the doctor first thing. Do not induce vomiting when toluene is ingested and instead give the patient lots of water to drink. If the victim is throwing up, keep the head below hips to avoid aspiration into the lungs. For skin and eye contact, immediately flush affected area with plenty of water for 15 minutes. For all these instances, get medical attention right away.

What are the proper handling practices for toluene?

One of the first things you should do when handling toluene is to be properly fitted out with your personal protective equipment including protective goggles and gloves. A whole face mask is even recommended to avoid possible splashes.

As toluene is highly flammable although normally it is a stable compound, you should avoid the following conditions when handling toluene: sparks, electrostatic discharge, heat, open flames, and other ignition sources. It is also a confined space hazard, meaning that a leak in a closed area is very dangerous and there should be proper ventilation of your working space.

Never use or handle toluene along with incompatible materials unless absolutely necessary and when you do, make sure you carry out all the precautionary measures. Again, it cannot be helped but overemphasize the need for the workers to be properly trained at handling hazardous chemicals.

What should you do to ensure proper toluene storage conditions?

Toluene safety largely depends on how you store it. In ordinary circumstances, it is a fairly stable compound. However, when there are improper storage conditions there is a high risk for accidents. To decrease fire hazard, think about using an inert gas in the container or storage vessel for toluene.

Use only non-igniting ventilation systems, standard explosion-proof equipment, and safe electrical systems. Proper labeling of containers, chemicals and other items must also be practiced so that workers can easily identify the chemicals. Since toluene presents a confined space hazard, regular air monitoring should be in place to determine if there is proper ventilation.

Safety always comes first and employees must be empowered with the right knowledge and proper training to be able to deal with hazardous chemicals such as toluene with as few risks as possible.

How come you advertize box of 20 , but product description reads – box of 10?! Swine are the companys trying to make quick dollar using false statements.

Call it ‘Destiny’ or call it ‘Fate’. Call it what you want! Most of us might even contradict the whole affair. Whatever may be the case, here I am once again, for you, to share what I have realized about ‘Destiny’. I will neither say that I am right or wrong. I leave that for you to decide. With some brief examples and case-study I’ll try my best and make you aware of the message I am trying to convey about this beautiful facet of life, which might once again help you realize another aspect about the “Essence of Life”, which is my sole objective.

While studying here in Bangalore, many times I have heard my friends saying, our life is all set and planned, even before we have entered this world. Sometimes, when my friends fail in their semester examinations, they say it is the will of God, it was all planned. Well I could have understood the fact, that had my friend studied and gave his best efforts and still failed, perchance even if destinies were ever written, then perchance he was destined to fail. But what if this same friend of mine does not study the whole semester, ignoring his onus towards his academics and fails, can he still say that it was written in his destiny to fail? Well, now some of my friends, reading this article might point out that perhaps it was written in his destiny to be irresponsible towards his studies. Well that indeed is a valid point. But patience my friend. I’ll explain it all to you; before you draw the final conclusion 🙂

Like initially, I mentioned that I have realized that that there are two kinds of destinies. Now, I’ll try and create a clear picture for you of the two aforementioned destinies.

First with ” Written Destiny”:

You were born in USA, some country in Europe, Asia or Africa to a particular family. You had no option to chose your parents, family, color and race. I believe such things can be associated with ” Written Destiny”. Just keep it in your mind that I have mentioned the phrase – “no option.”

Now something about “Created Destiny”:

Once again let me take you to the case of my friend who fails in his semester examinations. I have mentioned before that he had all the time in the world to study, but being irresponsible towards his studies he fails. Which mean that – he had the option to study; yet he did not? Now can we say that it was a “Written Destiny” ?

So did you get my points, my friends? I am sure by now you must have got a clear picture of the message I am trying to convey.

Yes, that is what I realized sometimes back. I realized that even if there was something called as “Destiny(s)” in life, then at the minimum there are two types of “Destinies”. Instances in life where you do not have an option to make, that I call it as ” Written Destiny “. And instances where you have options to make I call it as “Created Destiny”, irrespective of the result of your instances. I have used the phrase “at the minimum here”, cause at the moment these are the two possibilities that life has whispered to me. If life has whispered to you some more possibilities I would be happy to be aware of them as well. So, please don’t hesitate to post it.

So whatever be the case my friend, whether you have been born in a poor family, handicapped or any major incident that occurred in your life where you had no choice or option to make or take, then accept it. For believe me, everything in life has a reason. Whatever God made you he had a reason to it. But the problem is that nobody ones to become themselves, the way God wanted them to become. Almost every body wants to become like somebody. And that is the point, and it indeed is a turning point, the deciding point, where you miss. Even if you look at the past, all rich men of today, at once instances started from ground zero. So many handicapped people have touched that zenith of life, where our so-called normal people have even failed to touch the feet of the peak these people have reached. For, instance take Bill Gates for example. So far since the past fifteen years he has been ranked as the richest man in the world. Look at the Google guys, they first hosted their server from a garage. All these people were not super rich from the day they were born. And now look where they have reached. Look at Helen Keller, she was a born-retard and a handicapped and you all must be well aware of what she made up of her life. Stephen Hawkins, he is called one of the most intelligent man in the whole world, and he is a handicap. I have heard John Milton wrote one of his most beautiful poems after he became blind. Beethoven composed one of his best symphonies after he became deaf. Phew!!! I guess that will be enough to quench your thirst and boost you up.

God has sent you in this world with an objective. Not just to go to school, get a degree, marry, procreate, grow up you children, perchance become grandparents and eventually die. There is something more to life. To realize this objective is one of the most important discovery towards realizing the “Essence of your Life”. It is all up to you. The choice is yours. And believe me when I say this to you, it is out of my own experience – “Seek and You’ll find.” And always remember the only person that can stop you is you. Rest all are excuses. God never does any kind of partiality. Each moment he is giving each and everyone of us infinite opportunities. Cause if God were to be partial, then he cannot be God. He is human. Only humans are partial and political. Helen Keller herself has told ” In life when one door of happiness closes, another one immediately opens. But often we get so lost and absorbed in our sorrows and problems, we fail to see the one which has opened ( which of course is futile ), cause when has worrying helped anybody? So, it’s up to you my friend, as to whether you just want to go on complaining and nagging about the things you got and the ones you didn’t get like a baby and remain like a baby your whole life. Or, now you say – “Enough of all these nonsense! If the only thing that can stop me is me, then at least I want stop myself. Rest I will face it, come what may.”

The choice is yours 🙂

Thank you so much for reading and to all those beautiful people who have posted your comments. It is because of those comments that makes me aware that am on the right track, and hence gives me the energy to move on forward to fulfill my motives and objectives. Any kind of criticism are welcome. Positive comments will make me aware that I am still on the right track, and negative criticism will make me aware when I have gone astray and will help me to come back to the mainstream.

“All personalities are fake. According to the psychologist “Carl Jung”, “persona” which is the root word of personality means “the mask or facade presented to satisfy the demands of the situation or the environment and not representing the inner personality of the individual; the public personality.” So I see no sense in blabbing about myself… I think it’ll make much more sense if you get to know me personally and discover me… 🙂

Swine Flu N95 Face Respiratory Mask Respirator.Particulate Respirators , Dust & Swine Flu Mask, 15 IN THE BOX PLUS 5 FREE

Customer Review: These Masks are Protective and comfortable on the face when youwear
These are very helpful and they will protect against the virus if used with other precautions to combat the flu.Such as protecting the face and washing your hands constantly.I am an Rn and would recommend this brand .
